Chestnut Festival: Rapolla:
(Saturday 8th October and Sunday 9th October)
The flavours of autumn that come with the scent of cooked must of grape, freshly pickled mushrooms and the taste of roasted chestnuts are celebrated in Rapolla, where the palete will be delighted during the demonstrations of the Chesnut Festival.
The Feast of the Mountain: Castelsaraceno:
(Saturday 29th October and Sunday 30th October)
During the 'Feast of the Mountain' it is possible for visitors to participate in trekking, mountain biking, rock climbing, paragliding and horseback riding. The event, which is in its third year, will be a gathering for those who love climbing and pony trekking; it is also possible to do a guided visit to the Alpine Mountains and peak of Mount Pollino to admire the Pino Loricato, symbol of the Pollino National Park. As part of the event, "Fair of the Mountain" will be taking place, an exhibition market of typical products from the mountains, including food tasting stands for sampling delicacies made with truffles, mushrooms, chestnuts and berries.
